In search of identity those of African descent are reverting to the distorted doctrine of the worship of the goddess. They see the worship of black female deities as the highest spiritual practice. A philosophy that today is rooted in freemasonry and witchcraft. I love my black sisters to the fullest and want to see your glory in Christ, so let me share with you the little I know of the feminine attributes of God according to the bible.
The bible clearly says that God is spirit, and that all should worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23). So, God is neither biologically male nor female, but spirit. Anything on our human level that seems male or female is simply the manifestation of Gods eternal attributes in the male and female species. I must take a moment and pause anyone who thinks I’m trying to make God androgynous. NO! I just want to show his eternal being as Alpha and Omega which essentially is beyond male or female. But knowing God as our heavenly Father is very accurate and biblical teaching.Click To Tweet
Many women think Christianity is about male dominance. But many fail to realize that YHWH not only corrected, but he put balance back into worship. In ancient times, most societies where worshiping solely the female attributes of God, Like the worship of the golden calf who was the Egyptian goddess Het-Heru (Exodus 32:1-4). Or the worship of the goddess Asherah (Deuteronomy 12:3-4), or even “the queen of heaven” (Jeremiah 7:16-18). This lead to many perverted sexual practices which are still prominent today.
Our fallen nature has a natural disposition to worship the created instead of the creator (Romans 1:25). Even more so, many think it wise to worship the woman whom gives birth to man. Add this to Africa being the cradle of civilization and most religions being rooted in Africa, thena lot of us of African descent are easily pulled to the distorted worship of the black woman as God.Click To Tweet Many feel scientific data such as x and y chromosomes or mitochondria DNA prove the woman is God. But all this proves is that God has intricately blessed all of nature as he seems fit. No one knows all there is to know about nature, nor God’s intentions in all that he created. What we do know is that all of nature is to give glory to the creator (Colossians 1:16). From the smallest quark to the mightiest angel.
Yes, western Christianity has painted itself as a male dominant patriarchal religion, but any male chauvinism in western Christianity is not a biblical principle but a white privileged male superiority principle. Quotes like the ones below will show these false mentalities.
“The souls of woman are so small, that some believe they’ve none at all.” – Samuel Butler (1612-1680), Miscellaneous Thoughts.
“Even though they grow weary and wear themselves out with child-bearing, it does not matter; let them go on bearing children till they die, that is what they are there for.” – Martin Luther, The complete works of Martin Luther.
Also note that Thomas Aquinas taught that biblically women were inferior not only in bodily strength to men, but were also intellectually inferior to men as well. (read his work “Summa Theologia”).
But these quotes are not biblical, nor how God intended the church to think about women. Through Christ we are all attributed as females, because Christ is our groom (male attribute) that makes us one with The Most High God.
Many don’t realizeChristianity was the first of the major world religions to grant full equality between men and women.Click To Tweet
Woman rights were to be just as equal as men’s rights:
28 There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male and female; since you are all one in Christ Jesus.
There was to be no harsh treatment of wives:
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave him-self for her…
28 In the same way, husbands are to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
Also throughout the New Testament Jesus talked and walked with women when it was taboo to do so. Women like Phoebe played a big part in the building up of the early church during Paul’s travels.
Listed below are some of the feminine attributes of God that are mentioned in the bible so all can see that God has always taken glory in his feminine attributes too.
God’s attribute of wisdom (chokmah in Hebrew) as a feminine noun (Proverbs chapters 1-9)
God Comforts his people like a mother (Isaiah 66:13)
God as a woman nursing her child (Isaiah 49:15)
God like a mother eagle (Deuteronomy 32:11)
God like a woman who lost a coin (Luke 15:8-10)
God like a midwife (Psalms 229-10)
God like a mother bear (Hosea 13:8)
Jesus as a mother hen (Luke 13:34)
Many women of African descent are so busy trying to be blackface feminist versions of westernized feminism that they are just talking rhetoric about what they think the bible is saying about God and the role of woman in the bible. They are abandoning the bible based on a lot of misinformation. And keeping your hair natural, not eating processed foods, reading some books, and wearing African garbs don’t make you a black goddess. But you can do all the above and still be a woke sister in Christ.
Now some of my sisters are saying “see he always refers to God with male personal pronouns”.Yes, I refer to God in the masculine because that’s how he tells us he is to be portrayed and called upon.Click To Tweet Also, Yeshua/Jesus human nature was male. Fully man fully God incarnated in flesh. God, The Holy Spirit, and Christ the logos (word) delight in revealing themselves with multiple male metaphors. God was always to be approachable through language. God is not male but he chooses mostly to relate to us with male like metaphors and imagery in the scriptures. He will forever be known as our heavenly Father. This is essential biblical doctrine.
So, the black woman is not God. And not being God doesn’t diminish her role as mother of civilization, nor her contributions to society. And never should we confuse God’s divinity with anyone’s scientific theories of God’s origin. God is not biologically male or female, but spirit. The Great I AM through who’s fatherhood we gain our spiritual inheritance.
Grace and peace!
